Background:
The article states the United States are going to send around 1,600 troops to Africa to combat against the Ebola outbreak that is affecting many Africans. They will be comprised of logistical units as well as engineers to help the African government. This is said to be another step in American involvement as 200 troops are already in Africa and more are planned to be sent. These troops will not be in direct contact with infected victims but authorities will still take the necessary precautions to keep American troops safe.
Analysis:
I feel that the decision to send troops is a good cause and the safety of the troops will be a priority. The United States accomplish more objectives like this mission. To send humanitarian aid to countries in need. It’s not like we don’t send aid, we sent the Marines to The Philippines when a hurricane affected the whole country. But I feel the United States need to complete more objectives that are good for the and actually finish the job we started.

What kind of missions should America pursue and accomplish?
Do you agree with the decision to send troops to Africa even though it’s not violent?

ReplyDeleteYou should add a picture to better explain this article, but it's great.
ReplyDeleteI agree thy should send in some troops to help out with the outbreak
ReplyDeletei agree troops should be sent to help out. and i agree you should add a picture c:
ReplyDeleteI think that troops should be sent to africa to aid with the ebola outbreak as long as the troops can do it without getting contaminated with the disease
ReplyDeleteAfrica troops should be sent to Africa to make sure this whole Ebola problem doesn't get any worse and it doesn't spread to the U.S.
ReplyDeleteI agree but if they send to many men, then Africans will panic and it will get worse. They should send less than 1600-3000 men.
DeleteAnd it's not African troops but American troops.
DeleteIf they sent more troops the people would not panic. just the opposite would happen. All of the people in Africa would feel better protected.
DeleteBut, People will think that if they are sending that many men, they will think it is worse than what they think.
DeleteI think the USA are sending to many men in Africa, they will make people from Africa panic, they should be quiet and not make people from Africa panic by sending in 1600 men and saying it publicly.
ReplyDeleteI agree that troops should be sent to Africa. This is because even though what is occurring in Africa is not violent, we should still take charge and help since we have the ability to do so. There are so many sick and dying citizens in Africa and it would be the wrong thing to do if we left them there to die when we have the ability to help.

ReplyDeleteI think that the troops should be sent in the help out with the Ebola outbreak. It may not be as important as some other things troops could be used for, but it is now spreading fast and becoming extremely important to treat and should be noticed. I agree that they should be sent to Africa although not on a violent mission. Not everything that the troops should be used for should have to do with fighting and violence.
ReplyDeleteYou should also add a picture for better explanation
ReplyDeleteAmericans should fight against the Ebola outbreak in Africa because it's effecting more and more people. We need to aid to the African victims and provide their government with equipment to protect the health of other citizens.
