What affects people's behavior?
Post-traumatic stress disorder or PTSD is a psychological disease that occurs with some veterans. A traumatic event such as a war where either you or someone else gets hurt.
Why do some veterans suffering from PTSD choose not to share their experience?
Someone people have a hard time dealing with the fact that they do have PTSD. Or maybe they fear society would view them in a different light than someone else.
I feel like PTSD is not well known about. We know some people have it from a traumatic experience, but we don’t know an actual cure for it. We don’t know why some people develop it and other do not. These people fought for our country and sacrificed a lot. They come home to people who don’t care if they’re going through it. I know that some people are curious but it’s completely rude to ask someone if they have killed somebody or if they got injured during combat. I don’t what war is but I know that some people come back from it a different person.
