Young women are extremely vulnerable when it comes to looks, so the media needs to stop promoting unhealthy images or else many people are in danger.

Q: How does having magazines release articles lecturing "How to be Beautiful" bring down most young girls instead of having them try to be beautiful and happy?

A: Releasing articles like that brings most girls down because it's explaining to them that there is a way to be beautiful, and that's not naturally yourself. The title is better off being named, "How to Change Your Looks so You Can Finally Be Beautiful" because that is basically what it is telling girls. People look at these articles and think that they have to change who they are just to fit in, and this isn't how it should be.

Q: Why does the entire world want to be apart of western cultures?

A: Young girls around the world are being introduced to America’s media now a days, and they are envying the way we do things. Television shows the way famous people look, dress, and act, and sadly these girls want to experience the way our life is like. These young women are doing anything in their power to look like models, and its taking a terrible turn. People are bleaching their natural skin color, and doing anything to look white. Diversity is so much better then everyone looking the same unnaturally.  They want to fit in, but they should not have to do it like this.

Q: What are ways that some companies can stop low self-esteem?

A: Some brands promoted their items will natural models with no makeup on, and that helped some girls know they are beautiful without the help of makeup. Dove had a campaign for ‘Real Beauty’ and that helped many people. Companies can also inform what can happen to young girls from the media if they keep promoting unnatural women. Not many companies are willing to do this because they like going with the flow, but we can change that. The world needs to know that natural is beautiful.
