Solution to Pollution

        Imagine a world with plastic filled oceans containing no marine life. That is the very possible future of our world if ocean pollution is not stopped and resolved. On the National Resources Defense Council website, an article called "Solutions to Plastic Pollution in our Oceans" addresses the possible solutions for primarily plastic pollution. This article is considered very reliable because it comes from a dependent council that focuses on conversing our world's natural beauties such as oceans.

1. A big solution to helping ocean pollution, especially plastic, is by focusing on the plastic producer such as companies. I think this is important because it stops the problem at the source. Addressing the problem at its earlier stages could reduce the amount of plastic that is produced and could potentially lead to less plastic in the oceans.

2. A way companies can help plastic pollution is by covering costs to keep plastics out of the oceans. This is significant because many companies are producing products that contain lots of plastic. But once their products are sold, the companies no longer care about where their plastics go. Companies should focus on keeping their own products out the ocean by covering or contributing to costs necessary to help plastic pollution.

3. Another solution to helping plastic pollution is by recycling more of the plastics that are produced. More times than not, the plastic that is produced does not get recycled and end up in garbage dumps which can end up in the ocean. By recycling more of our plastics, we could reduce the amount of garbage that is entering the ocean.

4. An additional way companies can help with the problem of plastic pollution is by making products that contain less plastic. If products are made containing less plastic, the amount of plastic in the ocean would most likely reduce because there would not be as much plastic to pollute our oceans in the first place.

5. A way that we can solve plastic pollution at an international level is by establishing international guidelines for plastic pollution. This is important because many of the majorly polluted oceans are shared by many countries. Therefore, coming up with an international solution or guideline to this problem would result in an international agreement for something that is affecting our world as a whole.

6. A significant way to reduce plastic pollution is just y informing people as well as organizations about the problem. This is important because if companies and organizations are aware of the problem, hopefully they will become aware of how much they are contributing to the problem and come up with ways to reduce the plastic that is being produced.

7. A simple thing that everyone can do to help plastic pollution is just cutting out plastic in our every day lives. This is important because even changing from drinking out of plastic bottles to drinking out of one reusable bottle can contribute to the amount of plastic that is being thrown in the trash and ultimately into our oceans.

8. Beach cleanups also have a significant impact on plastic pollution in our oceans. Beach cleanups are important because it reduces the chance of plastic on the shore being washed away into the ocean. They ultimately can reduce the amount of plastic going into our oceans every day.

9. People as a whole can also take upon the simple challenge to avoid littering in order to help plastic pollution. By taking the simple change of putting plastic in recycling bins rather than littering, we can reduce the chance of plastic getting into our oceans.

10. Taking responsibility is probably the most important step to resolving ocean pollution. This is important because when people take responsibility for their own actions and change their way of life for the good, we could potentially change the amount of plastic going into our oceans as well as become more aware of the problem which can lead to more successful cleanups and solutions.
